Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Goldwind Science and Technology Co Ltd has said it will fully cooperate with the European Commission following the launch of an in-depth investigation into its operations in the European Union under the bloc’s Foreign Subsidies Regulation.
The European Commission stated that its preliminary review found indications that Goldwind may have received foreign subsidies that could distort competition within the EU market. In response, Goldwind said it will maintain transparent and constructive communication with EU authorities throughout the legal process.
The company stressed that compliance is central to its global operations and that it adheres strictly to international rules and local laws in all markets where it operates, including the EU. Goldwind added that its business activities in Europe are continuing as normal and that it remains committed to supporting customers and partners without disruption.
Goldwind also emphasized that its position in the global wind energy market is based on technological innovation, product quality, and market-driven competitiveness rather than external financial support. The company highlighted the importance of open and fair international trade in supporting the global energy transition and tackling climate change.
Goldwind said it is confident that fact-based dialogue with EU authorities will help clarify the situation as the investigation proceeds.
